The journey back to yourself is sacred. And I believe with everything in me that it starts with remembering — remembering who you are at your core, loving every version of you that got you here, and seeing the beauty in all of it. But in my experience, that remembering doesn’t mark the end of the journey. It marks the beginning of something even more expansive.
When I say “step into the new you”, I mean something far more beautiful than you might expect.
First, the remembering.
For me, the most foundational part of my healing journey was learning to love the girl I had always been — at every stage, every version, every chapter. The parts I used to think were broken. The parts I used to hide. The parts I judged, criticized, and wished were different.
The healing came in seeing that there was nothing wrong with me. That every version of me — even the messy, uncertain, still-figuring-it-out versions — was worthy of love. Beautiful, even.
And maybe you’re there too. Maybe you’ve done enough of your own inner work to know that you’re not broken. That the things you’ve been through didn’t diminish you — they deepened you. That at your core, there is something steady, something true, something that was always there.
That’s the remembering. And it’s sacred.
And then, something shifts.
When you truly come home to yourself — when you stop fighting your own story and start loving all of it — something remarkable happens. You realize that at your core, you are a creator.
Not because you became someone new. But because you remembered who you always were. And who you are, at your essence, is someone with the capacity to choose. To grow. To shed what no longer fits and step forward into something that does.
That creator energy was never something you had to earn or acquire. It was born in you. You are a co-creator with life itself — and that means you have always had more power to choose, to grow, and to shape what comes next than you may have realized.
It’s the part of you that knows there is more. The part that feels the pull toward a life that is more aligned, more expansive, more you.
This is what I mean by “step into the new you.”
Not an escape from who you’ve been. Not a rejection of your past. But an exciting, intentional shedding — the way a tree doesn’t mourn its leaves in autumn but trusts that something new is already growing.
You’ve left a career that no longer fit the woman you’ve become. You’ve felt the pull toward something more but couldn’t quite name it yet. You’ve outgrown an identity that once served you and felt the simultaneous grief and excitement of that. You’re in midlife and suddenly aware that the next chapter is wide open — and that awareness feels equal parts thrilling and terrifying.
If any of that is true for you, you’re not lost. You’re in the most creative season of your life. You are rising into a new chapter. A new version of your self.
The new you isn’t a stranger.
She’s (or he’s, or they’re) the natural evolution of every version of you that came before. She’s been shaped by your healing, informed by your wisdom, and freed by your willingness to love all of who you’ve been. She doesn’t arrive by accident. She arrives by choice — your choice to keep saying yes to growth, yes to alignment, yes to the life that’s calling you forward.
That’s what it means to go from stuck to unstoppable. Not forcing your way through. But remembering who you are, claiming your creator energy, and stepping forward with the quiet, powerful knowing that you were made for this.
The question isn’t whether you’re ready.
It’s whether you’re willing to say yes to the version of you that’s already waiting.
If you’ve done the inner work and you’re feeling the pull toward something more — that’s not a coincidence. That’s your creator energy calling. I’d love to support you in answering it. Leave a comment belw or send me a message at shelly@beyondfreedomcoaching.ca. I’d love to connect.
