We’ve all felt stuck before: in our heads, in our habits, or in our lives.
I get it. I’ve been there many times, and even now, I still have to work with these patterns when they show up. It’s not about never getting stuck. It’s about learning how to move through it with more awareness and skill.
Feeling stuck often shows up in sneaky ways: procrastination, spiralling self-doubt, overthinking, or bouncing between too many ideas without choosing a direction. It can feel like you’re trying so hard and still going nowhere.
What I’ve come to understand is this: Being stuck is rarely about being lazy, unmotivated, or broken. More often, it’s about resistance… to a thought, to a feeling, or to a reality we wish were different.
That resistance creates tension. It drains our energy, clouds our clarity, and makes everything feel heavier than it needs to.
There are a few core dynamics that tend to hold us in place:
1. Emotional Resistance
We try to outrun or suppress how we feel, whether it’s fear, grief, anger, or uncertainty. But what we resist, we reinforce. The emotion stays stuck because it hasn’t been truly seen.
2. Limiting Beliefs
These are the subconscious scripts that whisper, “You’re not ready,” “You’re not good enough,” or “It’s too late.” They aren’t facts. They’re beliefs. But they feel true because we’ve rehearsed them for so long.
3. Avoiding Painful Truths
Sometimes what we need to let go of is also what we’re most attached to — a relationship, an old dream, or even an outdated version of ourselves. Facing that can feel like grief. And if we’re unconsciously avoiding pain, we may avoid the release too.
So what do you do when you’re stuck?
You don’t need to wait until you feel better. But you also don’t need to bulldoze your way through it. The key is to stop fighting yourself.
That begins with acknowledgement.
Sometimes you have the space to slow down and truly feel the emotion; to be with it, let it move through you, and learn from it.
Other times, that space just isn’t there. Life keeps moving. And in those moments, the shift isn’t about fully processing the feeling; it’s about naming it and allowing it to exist without letting it take over.
You might say:
“This is hard.”
“I feel afraid.”
“I wish it were different.”
That’s often enough to soften the resistance and bring you back to your center.
From there, you can ask:
“What’s one productive action I can take while holding this uncomfortable feeling?”
You’re not bypassing the emotion. You’re not waiting for it to go away. You’re learning to move with it… gently, wisely, and on purpose.
This is how momentum builds: not by changing everything at once, but by learning to walk with what’s real, one grounded step at a time.
Letting go sounds simple, but it’s often the hardest part.
Not because we don’t want to move forward, but because moving forward sometimes requires loss. And loss, even when it’s necessary, is painful.
Letting go doesn’t mean giving up.
It means creating space for healing, for clarity, for something more aligned to take root.
It could look like:
Letting go is rarely a single moment; it’s a process.
It asks for courage, compassion, and a deep trust in where you’re headed.
And the more you release what no longer fits, the more space you create to become who you truly are.
One small release at a time.
So what does it really mean to become unstoppable?
It doesn’t mean never getting stuck again. It means learning to recognize the signs earlier. It means meeting resistance with compassion instead of shame.
It means moving with your emotions, not against them.
It means shifting the beliefs that hold you back, one at a time.
It means releasing what no longer fits, even when it’s hard.
And it means taking one aligned action at a time, even when it’s uncomfortable.
And when you do that, with patience, practice, and support, you don’t just move forward.
You become unstoppable.
